
Player Development
Marcus Liberty’s celebrated basketball career started in 1986, when he led Chicago’s Martin Luther King High School to the Illinois Class AA title. In 1987, he was ranked the number one high school player in the country by both Sports Illustrated and USA Today. After high school, Liberty played at the University of Illinois where he was a member of the 1989 “Flying Illini” that reached the Final Four, with Marcus being selected as a member of the Big 10 Freshmen team. In 1990, he was drafted by the Denver Nuggets and traded to the Detroit Pistons in 1993, playing a total of four seasons in the NBA before additional years in Puerto Rico, Japan, Turkey, Sweden, Chile, France and Greece. In 2000, he began coaching and coached at Cheyenne High School in Las Vegas. Marcus now resides in Houston Texas and dedicates his energies and efforts by offering the best youth and adult training in the industry.
